“Second Helpings” Challenges Community to Raise $4,000

place-setting2Second Helpings is putting out a challenge to the Manchester community. Coordinator Tina Mead says she’s hoping the community will help them raise four-thousand dollars by the end of the year.┬áSecond Helpings is a free meal held every Monday night at Manchester United Methodist Church, with doors opening at 4:30 pm and serving starting at 5:30 pm. The meal is open to anyone who would like a free meal or some company for the evening. Second Helpings relies entirely on donations.┬áThe program gets help from volunteers, including high school kids, 4-H clubs, church groups, area banks, and community groups. If you’d like to volunteer with Second Helpings, or if you’d like to donate food or money to the program, contact Tina Mead at 927-4439 or email tinamead@yahoo.com.

Chris Berg

Chris was born and raised in Webster City, IA. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his significant other Vicki and a daughter Brynlee.
